LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Several school districts across Kentucky and Indiana are canceling school on Friday, Feb. 7 because of widespread illness as well as winter weather.
Jefferson County Public Schools are operating on a 2-hour delay and schools within the Archdiocese of Louisville are on a "delayed schedule."
Washington County, Taylor County, and Marion County canceled classes earlier in the week because of increased absences related to illness. On Thursday, Hardin and LaRue County schools also announced closures.
A system of winter weather moving through the area Thursday night and Friday morning has led to additional school closures including Bullitt, Grayson, and Oldham County.

In Indiana, New Albany/Floyd County Schools and Greater Clark County Schools are closed as well.
