Thousands without power in Kentucky, Indiana after severe weather hits

Trees were uprooted and roofs were torn off of buildings in Prospect, Kentucky due to the weather.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Thousands are without power Tuesday night after a line of severe storms made its way through the area.

LG&E crews are working to restore power to customers in Jefferson and Oldham Counties in Kentucky.

Around 2,900 of their customers are without power at this time.

Across the river, almost all Duke customers have had their power restored.

After a round of severe thunderstorms barreled through Kentucky and southern Indiana Tuesday morning, another round of severe weather had its sights set on the region this afternoon.
