LOUISVILLE, Ky. — More severe weather is moving through the Louisville area early Friday.

A WHAS11 Weather Impact Alert Day has been called for Friday due to storm chances and heavy rainfall expected in the area.

Plan on isolated to scattered strong storms early Friday morning into the afternoon. The main threats with the storms will be strong wind gusts, hail and heavy rain.

The threat for severe weather is low. However, if a storm were to become severe it would likely be for strong wind gusts or hail. Heavy rain will impact visibility for drivers in the morning as well, so be sure to take it slow.
