LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Several counties across central Kentucky and southern Indiana are under a winter weather advisory until Sunday morning.
The National Weather Service issued the advisory from 4 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday. Up to 3 inches of snow is expected in parts of the Louisville Metro, along with temperatures below freezing.

Forecast and impacts
Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing this evening. A total of 1 or 2 inches of light snow is expected with local areas expected to receive a possible of 3 inches.
Expect slippery road conditions to develop after sunset and continue into Sunday morning. Since temperatures are expected to drop into the 20s early Sunday, snow accumulations along with below-freezing temperatures are likely to result in hazardous road conditions.
WHAS11 issued a Weather Impact Alert Day for Saturday due to snow expected to fall between 5-7 pm and ending after midnight. Accumulations of 1-2 inches of snow.
