Trading the heat for rain on Oaks | First Alert StormTeam Forecast

Thankfully, the Kentucky Derby Day is looking mostly dry and warm.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Plan on mostly cloudy skies overnight, with widespread rain showers moving into the region by dawn. Temperatures only in the middle/upper 60s tonight. It'll be a wet Oaks Day tomorrow with rain continuing up until the Oaks race itself. A few rumbles of thunder will be possible too, so plan on rain if you're going to the track.

Thankfully, Derby itself looks mostly dry and warm with high temperatures near 80 degrees. We might still have an isolated shower pop up late in the afternoon.

More active weather is likely next week as temperatures hover around 80 degrees, but daily chances for rain and thunderstorms will be joining them.
