LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Sting will be a headliner at this year's Bourbon and Beyond Festival in Louisville.
The event made the announcement Monday on social media. Sting will perform Thursday, Sept. 19.
He is taking the place of Neil Young, who dropped out due to health reasons.
"Hi everybody, this is Sting," the musician said in a video posted to the festival's Facebook page. "I'm headlining the Bourbon and Beyond festival in Louisville, Kentucky, on the 19th of September. Be there; it's going to be great."
The England-born Sting has won 17 Grammy Awards, including Song of the Year for "Every Breath You Take" in 1984. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Police in 2003.
Bourbon and Beyond takes place Sept. 19-22 at Highland Festival Grounds. Click here for ticket information.
