LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A staple at the Galt House is closing its doors after nearly 13 years. Officials with the hotel say its signature revolving restaurant, Rivue, will close its doors in July.
Rivue first opened in 2006 and has been a Kentuckiana favorite and those visiting from different parts of the country because of its spectacular views of the city and Ohio River.
Officials say there will be plenty to celebrate including their beloved candy cart as well as menu items from their Flagship and Rivue Classics.
During the last weekend of July 12, Rivue will offer guests keepsake photos. There will be one final brunch on July 14, the day they will close their doors for good. If you have any fond memories of the restaurant, you are encouraged to post those on social media with #farewellrivue.
The Galt House says another restaurant concept will open in the same location next spring. Details on that concept have not been announced.
