LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A 15-year-old boy was arrested Monday after he was accused of shooting another juvenile after Thunder Over Louisville last April.

The teenager was charged with assault (first degree). He was arrested in his home without incident, according to an LMPD news release.

LMPD investigators believe he and the victim knew each other and this was a targeted shooting.

On April 20, Louisville Metro police responded to a shooting in the purple lot of Waterfront Park underneath I-65.

Officers on scene found a juvenile male in his teens suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was rushed to the hospital where authorities say he was expected to survive.

According to LMPD officials, the shooting occurred after Thunder Over Louisville festivities has concluded.
