LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville man has been taken into custody more than a week after a shooting left another man critically injured in the Russell neighborhood.
Broderick Clarkson, 45, has been charged with assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The incident happened on the Nov. 8 around 11:20 p.m. in the parking lot of Dino’s gas station in the 2600 block of West Broadway.
Officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the head and provided aid to him until EMS arrived.
The victim, also believed to be in his 40’s, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police have not provided an update on his condition.
Clarkson was taken into custody by LMPD's Violent Crime Unit on Monday.
He is currently booked at Metro Corrections and awaiting arraignment.
