Man admits to fatal 'ambush' shooting of Louisville hip-hop artist at southern Indiana casino

Antwaun Proctor, 20, pleaded guilty to killing LilDon Williams at Caesars Southern Indiana Hotel and Casino earlier this year.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The man charged in the fatal shooting of a Louisville hip-hop artist at the Caesars Southern Indiana Hotel and Casino earlier this year has pleaded guilty to murder.

In court on Thursday, 20-year-old Antwaun Proctor admitted to being at the casino on the night LilDon Williams, 32, was fatally shot and that he killed him, according to the Harrison County Prosecutor's Office.

Williams was with his family at the casino after performing at a show in Louisville on March 17.

Authorities said Proctor followed Williams and waited outside in the parking garage for three hours. When Williams left the casino and approached his vehicle, that's when police said Proctor cornered him and shot him.

Proctor was arrested in May, nearly two months after the shooting.

The Harrison County Sheriff's Office was able to identify him as a suspect based on a witness's description of the events and through traffic cameras and cell phone data.

Proctor will be back in court on July 22 for a sentencing hearing.
