LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) arrested a man on Monday for a deadly shooting that happened at the end of March near the Saint Joseph neighborhood.
Demetrius Johnson, 35, is charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a prohibited person.
LMPD said they received multiple calls after a man was shot not too far from the Dairy Kastle around Eastern Parkway and Bradley Avenue around 5:30 p.m. on March 30.
Police said the man, believed to be in his 20’s, had a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
He was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Police were then notified weeks later that the man had died from his injuries.
