Man shot at New Albany gas station after dispute

NEW ALBANY, Ind. — A man was shot early Friday morning at a gas station in New Albany.

According to a New Albany police news release, officers responded to the Circle K on Charlestown Road just before 4 a.m. for a report of shots fired. Police discovered multiple rounds in the parking lot and believe the incident stemmed from an argument.

An adult male was shot and was taken to the hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, according to police.

No Circle K employees were involved.

About 11:30 a.m. Friday, police said 25-year-old Davin Alexander, of New Albany, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery.
