Park Hill shooting leaves 1 dead, LMPD says

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville police are investigating a fatal shooting in the city’s Park Hill neighborhood.

LMPD officers responded to Dr. W.J. Hodge Street and West Oak around 7:40 p.m. Sunday following reports of a shooting.

Officers located a man outside of a home suffering from gunshot wounds.

LMPD said officers provided first aid to the victim until EMS arrived. Shortly after their arrival, the man was pronounced dead.

Police have not identified the victim, nor do they have any suspects.

It was the second shooting in less than 24 hours in the neighborhood. 

A man was shot and killed on Woodland Avenue just after midnight Sunday. Two others were also injured in that incident. These shootings are not believed to be connected.
