LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A juvenile has been charged in a deadly shooting earlier this year, according to Louisville Metro Police (LMPD).

On Friday, the Jefferson County Coroner's Office said 20-year-old Robert Lee Page Jr. died five days after being shot in the 700 block of East Jacob Street on March 21.

An LMPD spokesperson originally said the man was expected to survive his injuries after he was transported to University of Louisville Hospital.

However, Deputy Coroner Dan Alpiger said Page died on March 26 in the hospital's intensive care unit.

The department's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit initially took on the investigation, but as the investigation continued and "more circumstances of the case" became known, LMPD's Domestic Violence Unit took over.

In their initial report, police said all parties have been accounted.

An LMPD spokesperson told WHAS11 a juvenile has since been charged with murder following Page's death.
