LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Beginning August 17, fall semester classes at Jefferson Community and Technical College will be offered in a variety of formats:
1. Hybrid: face-to-face classes with online components
2. Fully online classes
3. Face-to-face classes in specified technical programs
The University of Louisville unveiled their fall 2020 plan last week. Classes at UofL will be held in-person until Thanksgiving, but after the holiday, classes will move online.
At JCTC, face-to-face classes will have an online or remote instruction component in place, in the event in-person classes must move to full remote instruction again.
The school says this policy is in place to ensure a smooth process in place for students, faculty and staff that will prevent any disruption to student success should any required pandemic response arise.
The school's #HealthyatJefferson plan is guided by information from the Governor’s Office Healthy at Work requirements, the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Human Services, and the Centers for Disease Control.
This plan is developed with a focus on student academic and college success in a healthy and safe environment and assuring support and services for our business, industry and other stakeholders in our communities.
