Mother, 3 children identified as victims in fatal Carrollton house fire

The Carroll County Coroner has released the names of the family who died in a massive fire in downtown Carrollton.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Authorities have identified a mother and three children who were killed in a Carrollton house fire.

According to the Carroll County Coroner, 42-year-old Jessica Sellers and her three children – 25-year-old Emilee Boswell, 18-year-old Coleton Sellers and 10-year-old Deacon Sellers – were confirmed as victims found following the Oct. 17 fire on 5th Street in downtown Carrollton.

The home was engulfed in flames and police were able to rescue a three-year-old girl near the home’s back door. She was airlifted to a Louisville hospital where she continues to recover.

It’s unclear when she will be released from care.

The cause of the fire still has not been determined as the investigation is ongoing.
