LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An elderly man has died in the hospital days after a serious crash involving a semi-truck on the Gene Snyder Freeway last week.

Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) said the man, identified by the Jefferson County Coroner's office as 77-year-old Harla Dwayne Cutshall, died at the University of Louisville Hospital on Monday.

On Dec. 7, LMPD responded to a serious crash involving a semi-truck trailer on I-265 near Brownsboro Road.

Cutshall and another person were taken to the hospital. The other person's condition is unknown, however police originally said they were expected to survive their injuries. Police said the driver of the semi-truck was uninjured in the crash.

LMPD's Traffic Unit is investigating the cause of the crash at this time.
