Hart County, Ky. Real ID license rollout to be rescheduled

The state of Kentucky is rescheduling the rollout in Hart County which was originally planned for July 10.

HART CO., Ky. (WHAS11) -- Another delay was announced on July 5 in the rollout of Kentucky's new drivers’ licenses.

The state is rescheduling the Real ID rollout in Hart County which was originally planned for July 10. 

Transportation officials said after launching the pilot program in Franklin and Woodford counties, they need to make improvements to the system before continuing with the rollout.

With the new licenses, drivers will have the option of a standard driver’s license or a voluntary travel ID required to fly domestically or get access to military bases.

The new date for Hart and other pilot counties will be announced soon.
