Everything you need to know before Louder than Life this weekend in Louisville

After a record breaking Bourbon and Beyond, the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Expo Center is now welcoming more music and fans from Sept. 26-29.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louder Than Life is celebrating 10 years of music. Slipknot, Slayer, Mötley Crüe and Korn are headlining the 2024 lineup. 

After a record breaking Bourbon and Beyond, the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Expo Center is now welcoming more music and fans from Sept. 26-29. 

  • Slipknot, The Offspring, Seether, and Badflower will headline performances on Thursday. 
  • Slayer, Lindemann, Anthrax, and Nothing More will headline on Friday. 
  • Mötley Crüe, Falling in Reverse, Dropkick Murphys, and Sevendust will headline on Saturday. 
  • Korn, Breaking Benjamin, Gojira, and Spiritbox will headline on Sunday.

This year's lineup also includes: 

  • Five Finger Death Punch
  • Disturbed
  • Evanescence
  • Highly Suspect
  • Sum 41
  • Judas Priest
  • Sleeping with Sirens and more!

This year, there will be five stages with nearly 150 musical acts. Gates open daily at 11 a.m. daily.

Will I need cash?

The festival is also cashless which means you'll need a debit or credit card to make purchases when you're inside. 

Can I bring in water? 

Yes but make sure to bring a reusable plastic water bottle and fill up.

Can I leave and come back?

Re-entry into the festival is not permitted unless you are camping on-site and have a camping wristband or purchased a Hotel + Admission package, through Fuse. Once you have entered the venue each day, you will not be allowed to leave and come back in. Please plan accordingly. If there is an emergency and you must leave, please speak to a supervisor at the gate.

Will there be lockers? 

We will have lockers available for rent on site in GA, VIP, and Angel’s Envy Top Shelf VIP areas. Lockers measure 8”H x 12”W x 18”D and include a universal phone charger. Lockers are available to reserve currently on the festival website.

What if I'm sober?

There is also a sober living program during the event. 

"Sober Life is a supportive and inclusive initiative designed for attendees who choose to enjoy the festival without the use of alcohol or drugs," the festivals website said. "The program offers a safe and welcoming environment with various activities, resources, and support to ensure everyone can have a fun and memorable festival experience. This program will also host (3) recovery-style meetings each day."

What can I/ can't I bring in?

Allowed:

  • Cellphones & small portable chargers
  • Sunscreen (non-aerosol)
  • One factory-sealed bottle of water (20 oz. Max size) or one empty plastic refillable water bottle (no hydroflasks or yetis)
  • Binoculars
  • Towels and light blankets - Note: Blankets will not be permitted in certain areas of the festival grounds for safety reasons
  • Small, point-and-shoot digital camera
  • Hats and sunglasses
  • Earplugs
  • Sealed packs of cigarettes & cigars
  • Vape pens & e-cigarettes
  • It's strongly encourage to not bring bags of any sort. If you must bring a bag, see the bag policy below

  • No video cameras or gopros
  • No audio recording devices
  • No laptops or tablets
  • No professional cameras or cameras with removable lenses
  • No selfie sticks
  • No lasers or laser pointers
  • No drones
  • No outside chairs of any kind.
  • No inflatable lounger air sofas
  • No umbrellas
  • No hula hoops or totems
  • No balloons or beach balls
  • No confetti or glow sticks
  • No aerosol cans
  • No whistles or air horns
  • No fireworks or explosives
  • No musical instruments of any kind
  • No camelbaks or other refillable hydration packs
  • No weapons of any kind
  • No drugs or drug paraphernalia

  • No colors or patches
  • No chains, chain wallets, or spikes
  • No unauthorized vending or advertising
  • No walkie talkies/two way radios
