LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville Metro Police detective accused of crashing his unmarked cruiser into two trailers in Bullitt County has taken a plea deal.
Timothy Davis pleaded guilty to criminal mischief in early November for the incident.
Surveillance video obtained by police showed Davis running a stop sign and crashing into two trailers in Mt. Washington on May 18.
Police said officers found Davis removing items from his wrecked vehicle and placing them in another.
Davis had denied he had been drinking but blew a 0.90 in a breath test.
The plea deal allows Davis to remain out of jail as long as he meets conditions set by the court including remaining drug and alcohol free, continue good behavior and not committing other offenses during conditional discharge for the next two years.
Davis was placed on administrative leave with the department.
