The StrEATERY offering a hot meal on Wednesday during free Thanksgiving dinner

The event is about hot food, good people, and bringing the community together.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — If you're looking for a hot meal before the holiday the StrEATERY in Louisville has you covered.

They're hosting the 3rd annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner.

The restaurant will be closed to regular dining as they being everyone together "to prep and cook Thanksgiving dinner for everyone to enjoy a hot meal and the presents of the Good Neighbors of Beechmont." 

The dinner is free and will be at the restaurant on 304 West Woodlawn Avenue from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. 

"Let's come together and see what a love for a community can do for everyone around," the event on their Facebook page said.

The restaurant says they ran out of food last year, so this year they are open to food donations to ensure everyone gets a meal. 

On the menu this year is:

  • Seasoned Roast Turkey
  • Smoked Turkey
  • Smoked Ham
  • Honey Baked Ham
  • Mashed Potatoes
  • Corn
  • Green Beans 
  • Sweet Potatoes 
  • Stuffing
  • Mac and Cheese
  • Cranberry Sauce
  • Gravy
  • Sauteed Carrots

They say the event is about hot food, good people, and bringing the community together. If you have food to donate, you can reach out to them online to coordinate a drop-off time.
