LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two days after a man was found severely injured from a shooting in the Bon Air neighborhood, Louisville Metro Police said he has died.

Aubrey Spry Jr., 57, died at UofL Hospital on Monday.

Police said the shooting happened in the area of Del Rio Place and Commander Drive around 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Spry was lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the chest. Police said they attempted life-saving efforts until he was transported to the hospital.

They initially called his internal injuries “severe” and expected him to survive.

Police do not have any suspects in this case.

It was the second reported shooting in the neighborhood on Saturday.

Police reported a shooting on Noe Way around 7 a.m. that left a woman dead and a man with a life-threatening gunshot wound. In that incident, police believe all parties are accounted for.
