OMAHA, Neb. — The University of Kentucky baseball team is playing in the College World Series this weekend for the first time in program history.
The Wildcats (45-14) tied the school record for wins in 2024 and will take on North Carolina State Saturday at 2 p.m. in their first game in Omaha, Neb. You can watch the game on ESPN and ESPN+, or stream the game with the Watch ESPN app.
Kentucky breezed through regionals and super regionals, allowing just four runs in the last 39 innings. The home crowd set a Kentucky baseball attendance record in Game 1 of super regionals, then broke it in Game 2 with 7,558 fans.
The Wildcats are led by Louisville-native Ryan Nicholson, who leads the team with 21 home runs and 61 RBI.
The 77th College World Series will take place at Charles Schwab Field Omaha June 14-23/24.
