LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man died Thursday night after being hit by a vehicle in downtown Louisville.
According to Louisville Metro Police, officers responded to a call of a person being hit by a vehicle just before 11 p.m on Third Street just south of Muhammad Ali Boulevard.
LMPD said investigators are working to determine why the driver hit the man.
The man died shortly after being transported to UofL Hospital police said.
The driver did stay at the scene and is cooperating LMPD said.
Police added no other injuries were reported.
The intersection is expected to remain closed to traffic for the next few hours police said.
