LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The eastbound lanes of the Sherman Minton Bridge were shut down for hours after a crash Friday afternoon in Kentucky, according to Indiana State Police (ISP).
According to officials, a crash involving a truck damaged a painter's platform on the bridge. LMPD said there have been no reported injuries.
TRIMARC estimated the westbound lanes were to be closed for at least eight hours. Officials with the Sherman Minton Renewal project said crews will be making repairs to the platform.
Indiana transportation officials said the Sherman Minton Bridge reopened just after 8 p.m. on Friday. Bridge inspectors said the crash did not cause any structural damage.
Westbound lanes of the Sherman Minton Bridge have been shutdown due to construction since Monday.
That portion of the bridge isn't expected to reopen until next week.
