Freeze Warning in effect for Louisville area | Weather Impact Alert Day

A Freeze Warning is issued Thursday morning. Here is what you need to know as you step out the door.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The National Weather Service has central Kentucky and southern Indiana issued in a Freeze Warning. We have issued a Weather Impact Alert Day for just Thursday morning. The Freeze Warning will expire at 9 a.m.

Temperatures will stay cold enough for a freeze, especially outside of Louisville Thursday morning.

Temperatures will stay cold enough for the first freeze of the season, especially outside of city limits and in rural portions of central Kentucky and southern Indiana. Grab the coat as you head out! What makes this morning a little more bearable compared to yesterday morning is the lack of any kind of wind.

Warmer days are ahead of us, especially this weekend.

According the National Weather Service data, we are ahead of schedule this year when it comes to the first frost and freeze of the season.
