LOUISVILLE, Ky. — It's about to get very cold in Kentucky and southern Indiana over the next few hours.
The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a Freeze Warning for every county in the WHAS11 viewing area, including the Louisville metro. The freeze warning lasts from 1 a.m. until 9 a.m. Thursday.
Make sure you are staying bundled up and protect any sensitive outdoor plants by covering them up!
The WHAS11 Weather Impact Team expects temperatures to be just above 30 degrees overnight Wednesday.
WHAS11 Weather Impact Chief Meteorologist Ben Pine said this is the time of year when our average temperatures begin to quickly drop as the days go by.
Soon, average high temperatures will be in the 60s and in the 50s by November. By December, highs will be in the 40s.
