LOUISVILLE, Ky. — At least three tornadoes impacted Kentucky during rounds of severe weather over Memorial Day weekend.
The National Weather Service in Paducah confirmed an EF-3 tornado hit Hopkins County. This was the strongest tornado in Kentucky over the weekend.
The National Weather Service in Louisville is conducting numerous damage surveys in the region Monday with additional surveys possible throughout the week.
Officials said an EF-1 tornado hit eastern Meade and northern Hardin Counties on Sunday. The tornado had wind speeds upwards of 90 mph and was on the ground for 1.5 miles. Another preliminary EF-1 tornado hit Butler and northern Warren Counties as well.
NWS Louisville and Paducah crews continue to survey storm damage at all locations.
In Grayson County, officials found damage from 85 mph straight-line winds.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said four Kentuckians were killed in Sunday's severe weather outbreak, including one person in Louisville who was killed by a falling tree near Anchorage.
There are no current surveys in Louisville or in southern Indiana, however powerful wind gusts caused damage in both areas.
Downed trees and powerlines have left tens of thousands without power.
LG&E said Monday it may take days before power is fully restored to those impacted.
