LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Be ready to really bundle up with some seriously cold weather on the way right after our Thanksgiving holiday. Temperatures will begin to tumble Thursday night down to the 20s.
Highs for Black Friday will only be in the upper 30s, about 15° below normal for this time of year.
WICKED WIND CHILLS
With winds around 10-20 mph, wind chills will fall to the 20s for much of Friday and down to the teens Saturday morning. Talk about a bigtime brrr!
GOVERNOR'S CUP SATURDAY
Obviously, if you have plans to be in Lexington for the Governor's Cup, plan to really bundle up. Temperatures will start in the 20s for tailgaters, then 30s for the big ball game. Winds are looking pretty light from the southwest.
Temperatures will be trending nearly 20-degrees below normal through our long cold stretch this weekend into early next week.
RAINFALL TOTALS
A weak system is bringing rain to the region through very early Thursday morning, but most areas will be drying out by sunrise. Rainfall totals of .50" or less can be expected, but mostly less.
A few flurries may mix with the chilly rain in southern Indiana overnight.
THANKSGIVING
