Weather Impact Alert Day | Heavy rain expected early Sunday

Showers will develop into the early morning hours and become heavier until about mid-morning. Scattered showers will continue until the late Sunday afternoon.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Showers will begin by the early morning hours. Expect heavy downpours to occur between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. A few rumbles of thunder are possible as well.

Showers will remain mostly scattered into the mid to later morning hours. A few locally heavy downpours will still linger around. Use caution on roadways, as some ponding is likely to occur.

By the later afternoon, showers will ease up and clouds will still hover around until we enter the evening hours. More clearing should occur.
