Weather Impact Alert Day | Steady, at times heavy rain, through early Thursday

A system is bringing a steady rain to Kentucky and Indiana Wednesday night through early Thursday, and 1-2" rainfall totals can be expected.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A steady, and at times, heavy rain will hang around through early Thursday with 1-2” rainfall totals by that morning. No significant flooding is expected, but some ponding of water is possible on the roads. 

No severe weather or thunderstorms are expected.  

Winds will stay fairly light from the south through early Thursday, but will pick up to about 10-15 mph in the afternoon. 

Rain tapers off to some occasional sprinkles tomorrow afternoon with highs in the upper 50s.

A mix of sun and clouds are expected Friday with temperatures  in the upper 50s. And it will get even better this weekend with sunshine and temperatures in the 60s! 

The next cold front will bring rain showers Tuesday, and colder air could finally arrive by late next week.
