LOUISVILLE, Ky. — This Thursday is shaping up to be a cold one.
The WHAS11 Weather Impact Team has issued a Weather Impact Alert Day for this Thursday as we're expecting a cold blast of winter-like air, gusty winds, and a wintry mix possible.
Temperatures will begin to crash with blustery conditions Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
Low temperatures will be in the 30s Wednesday night, with colder wind chills. The highs will be in the 40s Thursday, but wind chills near freezing.

Futurecast is showing the transition to a wintry mix, with snow flurries possible during the late overnight hours into early Thursday morning.
The next maps shows the potential for more snow Thursday afternoon and evening, however little to no accumulation is expected with above freezing air and ground temperatures.
The potential for light snowfall accumulations look higher for areas to our northeast.

Temperatures will tumble Wednesday night, and it will stay cold and windy through Friday.
