CLARKSVILLE, Ind. — An EF-0 was confirmed in after a survey in Clarksville on Wednesday morning, according to a social media post from NWS Louisville.

The preliminary survey "found EF-0 damage on Rosewood Dr. in Clarksville, Indiana."

Officials with the National Weather Service are continuing to survey the area throughout the day.

Much of the region remained under a severe thunderstorm watch for most of the evening.

However, damage could be seen in some parts of Kentucky and southern Indiana.

Strong winds toppled a massive tree that fell onto one home in the Silver Lakes Point Mobile Home community in Cementville, Indiana, which is located just north of Clarksville.

The homeowner told WHAS11 he watched from his kitchen window as the tree fell onto his shed and porch, ripping up large chunks of sidewalk along with it.

One woman said her parents live next door and called her saying the tree had also damaged part of their home as well.

“It actually did damage to the roof, as well to the walls it made some cracks, and then in the ceiling it also damaged it and right now it’s leaking water [from rain],” Danya told WHAS11. “We’ve always had storms around here, but nothing like this ever hit us.”
