LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Polls have closed across Kentucky and results are slowly funneling in for the 2024 General Election.
Many Councilmembers were up for reelection this year, and only one council member decided to not seek reelection.

The Metro Council seats were 100% reported as of 10:14 p.m.
Republicans have been looking to make gains in Louisville's Metro Council and did so, picking up at least three seats and maintaining the ones they had.
Dist. 12
Incumbent Rick Blackwell versus Jonathan “JJ” Joseph
Blackwell lost his seat to Joseph by less than 100 votes.
Dist. 14
Incumbent Cindi Fowler versus Crystal Bast
Bast will take Fowler's seat as the Dist. 14 Metro Council member.
Dist. 16
Incumbent Scott Reed versus Matthew Golden
Reed will continue to hold is Metro Council seat.
Dist. 18
Incumbent Marilyn Parker versus Mera Kathryn Corlett
Parker will continue to hold her Metro Council seat.
Dist. 20
Incumbent Stuart Benson versus Marita Willis
Benson will continue to hold is Metro Council seat.
Dist. 22
Kevin Bratcher versus Rasean Crawley
Bratcher gave up his seat in the State House will be the new Metro Council member for District 22.
Dist. 24
Ginny Mulvey-Woolridge versus Tyra Thomas-Walker
Current councilwoman Madonna Flood announced she wouldn’t seek reelection in January 2024. She has represented Louisville's 24th District since Louisville and Jefferson County merged in 2003.
Mulvey-Woolridge, a Republican, will take over outgoing Democrat Flood's seat.
JCPS BOARD
The Jefferson County School Board races were 100% reported as of 7:56 p.m.
JCPS Dist. 1
Gail Logan Strange versus Mark Gatton
The Jefferson County Board of Education swore in Gail Logan Strange to represent the district after Diane Porter stepped down.
Strange will keep her seat.
JCPS Dist. 2
The Jefferson County Board of Education swore in Tricia Lister in September after the former board member, Chris Kolb, resigned to teach in the district.
JCPS Dist. 4
Bass is a graduate from Seneca High School, and Spalding University. He's a former Parent Teacher Association President and Vice President for Fundraising. He currently works as a private grants contract coordinator. He said the grants he works with, work for the youth with an effort to stop gun violence, for example.
Bass just barely beat Lewis 51% to 48.8%.
